After years of waiting, the Ubuntu phone is here…

I keep seeing headlines about Ubuntu phones and reading articles about how great Ubuntu on a phone can be.

Having read one such headline on my phone during my train commute to work, I started thinking about how much hype surrounds tech releases nowadays.

As I walked from the station to my office an image appeared in my head of the rival phone operating systems duking it out. I could even hear the roar of the crowd! I know, I know, I’m a bit of an oddball.
