I use the popular open source blogging and CMS platform WordPress for this blog. In a nutshell, it’s an easy way for non-technical and technical people alike to get a website up and running. The power of this platform comes from the thousands of themes and plugins available; oh and did I mention it’s free?

If you’ve never heard of WordPress and want a website of your own go check out WordPress.

I’ve just finished changing the theme and so old visitors will have noticed that everything has changed. Although I still like the Scrawl theme I was using before, it was too minimal for my needs.

The new theme I’m using is the Rowling theme by Anders Norén, it’s a great magazine theme – excellent work Anders!

There were some things I needed to change and some features I needed to add so I modified the Rowling theme to my liking by creating a child theme. It should now be easier to find content and I hope you agree looks quite slick.

Another feature I’ve added is the PC Builds area where you can see my suggested builds with my reasons for recommending along with live prices. I hope this will be useful for those people who want to get a quick idea of what the total build costs are with prices in real time.

For those of you who have been asking for more Chromebook videos, thanks for your patience and expect to see more in the coming months.

What do you think? Does the new look and feel look good?
